Legal Question in Traffic Law in Ohio
an inactive case
in 94 i was broke down on the road and hooking a chain from my truck to another truck to be towed to the next driveway. a snowplow operator stopped and got out to see if anyone needed help. he didn't secure the plow truck properly and the truck rolled into my truck. i was pinned between my truck and the other truck. i ended going to the hospital with chest , leg anf foot injuries.i had a lawyer who wanted me to sign a check but on the back it said by signing that was pretty much it.the lawyer said to not worry about that he could still do more for me.the case had went through court and odot was found liable it then went to franklin county court. once it got to there it was placed in inactive case that i found out computer. i had not heard anything since 97 or 98.i went and got copies from the court and started reading them and there was things the lawyer at the time was trying to do that i had no idea about.i can not find him i think he retired or something.is there anything i can do to reopen the case?

Re: an inactive case
It is hard to tell without looking at the case file. If it is listed as inactive, it may be possible to re-open. If you send me a case number, I would be glad to go through the computer records to check for you. Best regards, Edward DiCato
