Legal Question in Traffic Law in Ohio
no insurance cincinnati
i was pulled over and cited for expired tags. i had let my insurance lapse. i now have tags and insurance, but i'm supposed to show proof at the time i pay my ticket. it's in a mayors court. is there a chance i wont lose my license?

The requirement to show proof of insurance is for you to demonstrate that you had insurance in effect on the date the citation was issued. If the Mayor's Court follows the rules, they should report to the BMV that you did not have insurance, and then the BMV should suspend your license.
The Court can grant occupational driving privileges, but I do not see any way to avoid the suspension for driving without insurance.
