Juvenile Traffic Court

My son was hit by a vehicle while riding his bicycle. The driver was cited for hit/skip and FTC. My son was summoned into the hearing as a witness Since he was the victim, was this proper service?

If the hearing you are refering to is the one against the driver due to the charges that were filed against him, then yes, he can be properly subpoenaed as a witness for the state (prosecution) or the defense. Also, do you have a lawyer for your son's injury case? He may be elgible for an injury award or settlement which is then held in trust until he is 18 years old.
