Minor with traffic violation
My son 17 yrs got a ticket speeding 68 in a 45 he has to go to court. Is he going to lose his license. Is it reckless op.

The important factor here is if your son has any other moving violations. A second juvenile moving violation will get his license suspended for at least 90 days.
If this is his first moving violation, courts and prosecutors seem to be more concerned with getting a conviction on a moving violation than what the violation actually is. That being said, I wouldn't expect the prosecutor in your son's case just rolling over and giving your son a no-point speed instead of the reckless op. You should still at least ask for your son to be able to plead to a lesser charge though.
