Legal Question in Traffic Law in Ohio
Police Officers signature
I got a DUI and seat belt and red light ticket, I went to court the next day the judge asked how I plead I said first I would like to know who the arresting officer was because he did not sign my ticket, she told me then said it did not matter that he did not sign the ticket, plead not guilty and a pre trial was set, I went and they said the charges were dismissed due to the officer not signing the ticket but they would refile after the police officer signed it, can they do this? How is this fair to me? Now any officer can sign it and I am supposed to believe this is the correct one? Also I did not sign the ticket, so can they refile?

Re: Police Officers signature
Your case has been dismissed and that should be the end of it. If they try to charge you again, feel free to give me a call.

Looks like your case is over. If you get noticed to appear in any court call me, but I wouldn't expect that to happen.
