Temporary Permit
What would happen to a 15 year old with their temporary permit if he or she got into an accident?

If the 15 year old was legally driving (with a parent) and was insured, it would be like any other citation. If the 15 year old was driving without a parent in the car or without insurance, it would be the same as driving with no license. That offense is a first degree misdemeanor under state law. It could result in up to six months in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.00.
