Legal Question in Traffic Law in Ohio
Ticket before 18, court date after 18
I was pulled over and given a speeding ticket a few days before turning 18, I had a previous speeding ticket on my record, so when I went to court with a parent, I denied the charges so as not to lose my license. Now, I have another court date for trial and I need to know if I have to take my parent again. I was 18 for the first oourt date and I had to take a parent, but now my parents don't want to go and I need to know if they have to or not.

Probably not. The worst that could happen is that you show up for court and the judge tells you that your parents need to be present. Which he probablty will not.
