Legal Question in Traffic Law in Ohio
I was given a "ticket" by a Department of Natural Resource's Officer for not having a PDF in my kayak. I live in Ohio and this happened in Wisconsin. Do I really need to pay the fee? What type influence could this have on me and and my driver's license? I would just as soon not pay the fee and just never return to the state of Wisconsin again! But, I am not sure whether the DNR or Wisconsin court system would extend it's influence across state lines. Thanks for the help.

It is probably better to just pay the ticket. Now, it is true that many state DNR tickets do not get entered into the national database, however, some do. If the ticket gets entered, and you get stopped for a traffic violation in any state that has the information, you will be arrested for non-payment (with all the penalties and interest accrued). So, are you willing to take the chance?
