Legal Question in Traffic Law in Ohio
unknown car owner in traffic crash
I was involved in a traffic crash caused by the other driver. She had no drivers license, no insurance and it wasn't her car. The car she was driving was impounded. My car was a total loss and I only had liability insurance coverage. Is there any legal action I can take to recover my loss?

Re: unknown car owner in traffic crash
You need to find out who the owner of the vehicle was to determine if there was insurance on the vehicle even if the driver was uninsured. You also need to find out if the driver had permission to drive the vehicle. If your insurance company will not assist you in determining the answers to these questions contact an attorney.
