Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

aunt died with accounts and no will

recenty my husband's aunt died, and before she dies, she had stated that there were several accounts which listed certain family members on these accounts as survivors in death. My brother-in-law states he has gotten control over all her accounts and denies that there were any accounts with other family member names on them. How can we find out?

If the monies are not designated to anyone, should the estate be divided equally amount the 3 surviving immediate family members?

Re: aunt died with accounts and no will

If the accounts were not joint with right of survivorship or payable on death to anyone then they would be probate assets.

They would be divided between your's husband's aunts heirs. How they are divided would depend on the relationship of her surviving family.
