Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

We bought our parents summer cottage, we spent over 100k to make it our current home. we signed a life estate to enable them to stay with us during the summers. thay now say that they can stay as long as they want and to do whatever they want in our home, is this true ?

You need to have an attorney review the terms of the life estate. In a true life estate they would be entitled to live in the house during their life without conditions. Additionally, they would have to agree to a sale of the property.

I suggest that you consult with an attorney that can review the documents and advise you accordingly.
