Contents of last will and testament

Stepfather died a few years back.he had a will.how can i find out what was in the will and if it was carried out according to his wishes? I dont know what attorney he used to prepare the will.

If an estate was opened your stepfather's will would have been admitted to probate. Check with the probate court in the county where he died. The larger counties have some information on line but usually not the copies of the actual documents. For smaller counties you may need to call the probate court. If you find out from the proabe court what attorney was involved you might be able to get information about the case from his or her office.
