continuance in removal of guardian case
if an attorney asks for a continuance in this manner, he has a jury trial on the same day, how long does they judge give him to reschedule another date since the ward is sick and had to be removed from the present guardian?

Whether to grant a continuance, and when to reschedule is within the sound discretion of the trial judge. He may do so whenever he wishes.

The attorney may ask for another date that is mutually convenient for the court and/or the other parties or the court may simply reschedule it according to its own schedule.
