Death of mother
My mother died, had no estate, except a car not paid for and alot of unpaid bills.I was her POA but not executive.She left a small life insurance policy to me in my name.Should i consult an attorney?

It does not look like you need a lawyer unless you have any trouble with the creditors or if there was equity in the car. The money you received from the life insurance cannot be touched by her creditors.

You are not required to use the life insurance to pay the bills if you are the policy beneficiary. If there is no equity in the car, surrender it to the lienholder. If there is equity, consult an attorney.
