Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

death and no will

my son's father died and left no will. There are 4 children. His personal effects such as furniture are in storage. The 3 other children are from his previous marriage. He is not married now. Does the 3 children have rights over my son on his personal effects? What should happen to his effects and what can I do to protect my son. His father had lived with us for the last couple months but just recently moved out.
