My husband and his sister inherited

my mother-in-law's property since she has died - it is in both their names, what happens to the other's share if one dies - will go to the spouse or to the remaining sibling?

Re: estate inheritance

It depends on how the assets are titled. If they are titled as joint tenants with right of suviviorship then it will pass to the surviving sibling. If the are co-tenants then it will pass according to the person's will.
