My deceased aunt's court appointed lawyer/ fiduciary would like to retain a gun from the estate. Is this illegal?

This can be done only with the consent of all the beneficiaries who would be entitled to the gun, and court approval. If the gun was to be sold, the appraised value could be applied against fees due.
