If you have a sibling who lives in Ohio, that person may wish to consider applying to be the Administrator of your father's estate. This will bring the matter into the Probate Court. Assuming there are any assets that must pass through probate, you and your siblings will have a better chance of discovering them.

Another thing you may wish to do is contact the probate court of any county where your father lived. It is possible that your father might have created a will and deposited it with the probate court. Probate courts act as depositories for wills where an individual wishes to ensure that the document does not become lost or destroyed. Many people (perhaps most) deposit their will with family members or their attorney, but some do take advantage of the depository with the probate court.
