My father just past away and I received a waiver of notice of probate of will in the mail from probate court of Montgomery County Ohio. I've been asked to sign and return the waiver. Why should I signed this waiver

Signing the waiver tells the Court that you have been notified that your dad's will has been filed at court and that you are aware the process is underway. In this way, the Court does not have to take the time to send you a certified copy of a notice in the mail which you would need to sign and return. My condolences on the passing of your father.
