Grandmother is incompetant, mom had POA, who takes care of financial matters now
My grandmother has advanced Alzheimer's. My mother had a POA but passed away last year. No one else has a POA for my grandmother. My aunt's and uncle all live out of state. My grandmother is still alive with no one to take care of her financial affairs and without an administrator for her will. What should be done and by whom?

Actually, while she's alive the will doesn't help. What she needs is a guardianship of the person and of the esate. That is set up through the probate court in the county in which she resides. If she is in the Columbus area or sorrounding counties I can help or recommend someone. I still maintain an office in Columbus and will be there in 2 weeks.

Please accept my condolences on the loss of your mother. Concerning your grandmother, you may wish to apply for a guardian to be appointed. This is handled through the Probate Court in your grandmother's county of residence.
