Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio
I have guardianship over my mother and an attorney has guardianship over her financials. My mother has dementa and lives with me. I feel like I am getting played around with. The attorney over the financials wants me to pay for my things that are in my mothers home. She also wants me to give an inventory of everything in my mothers home and then wants me to clean the house after everything is out, so the house can be sold. I just want to know if as guardian over the person, my mother, am I also guardian of the items in her house, the "personal items" or is that the job of the attorney who has the financial guardianship. Thank You.

Household goods, if they belong to your mother, are part of your mother's estate. A guardian of the person is responsible for the person's health and well-being. You say your mother lives with you, or do you live with your mother? The lines get fuzzy when this happens because there are advantages for both people living in the home. Are you moving out? It is reasonable to request an inventory because you live there. Maybe not the cleaning.
