Inheritance question

Our 5 yr old daughter recently inherited some money from my step-uncle. She is involved in quite a few other activities besides school. which she is opened enrolled in a better school district. and we take her to school everyday. our vehicle is on its last leg, so the question is, can my wife and i, be allowed to use a bit of that money to get a more reliable vehicle to be able to get her to school, and all of the other functions she is involved in, which require a bit of travel?
