how do i leave my house to my child without paying taxes on the transfer of the deed?

If you would like to leave your house to your child after your death, you can do so by executing and filing a Transfer on Death Designation Affidavit. It is a designation that states who the interest in the property will transfer to upon your death. You can also transfer the house by will or trust.
