Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

Legal Heirs out of state

My Uncle (never married, no children) died in November. He had 6 siblings (3 are deceased with children in both Ohio and other states). Three are still alive (2 in Ohio and 1 in NJ) ... are his ''blood nieces and nephews entitled to notification from an attorney of his death.

No will has been found. An Administrator has been appointed.

Re: Legal Heirs out of state

Under Ohio law there is no requirement to notify heirs regarding the administration of the estate. If you have questions I would contact the attorney involved or contact the probate court to check the status of the estate. Please be aware the attorney for the estate represents the administrator not the beneficiaries of the estate.
