My Mother in Law husband died. He had several loans in his name for things to get money to feed his alcohol problem. His car had a loan on it as colladeral. They are forcing her to pay of the loan. Doesnt the loan end when he died. And her name isnt on the loan.

If the loan is in her husbands name alone, she would not be personally responsible, although his estate may be. Is she is trying to keep the car that is collateral for the loan, she would be responsible for paying off or assuming the loan.
