Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

How long does it take probate to clear?

My mother died in Jan. of 2000. In the will I am to get the deed to house. All other siblings got what they were to receive. All of us had a meeting with lawyer to sign the necessary papers. Every time I call to check on the status the secretary tells me she will get back with me. She never does and I will call back only for her to tell the same. Then the next time I called found out the lawyer is retiring and our file was given to another lawyer and they will have that lawyer call me. Well I asked for the phone number myself and called only to be told that my file was being looked at and they would get back with me. Well you can guess I had to call back, now its on the secretarys desk. She still hasn't called back. How do I go about getting this probate completed?

Have you had an opportunity review the probate court file, and/or check with the recorder in the county where the property is located to see if it has already been transferred to you? If you let me know what county this is all in, I might be able to check it online.
