I'm married with a 17-1/2 year old daughter. Can I will my life insurance proceeds to her, or does my husband automatically get them? I live in Ohio

Life insurance pass to whoever you name as the beneficiary with the life insurance company. They do not pass through your will. You can name anyone as the beneficiary that you want. You should be careful about naming a minor (under the age of 18) as a beneficiary.
