mom's bank account

My mom passed away. she had no will. I am her son. How do I close out her bank account. my name is not on the account. she has a brother and a sister. but both would like my family to have the money

You probably haqve to get yourself appointed administrator by the probate court, and get a tax release from the county auditor. Such a release is necessary unless the account is under $ 2500.00.
