Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio
My mother passed away in Cuyahoga County in Ohio without a will. My father passed away 30 years ago, she never remarried. I am an only child. What do I need to do in Probate Court to be able to take over my mother's accounts and settle her estate?

I sorry to hear about your parent passing. The answer to your question will depend on what types of assets your mother owned at the time of her death and how title was held. Some assets can be transferred outside of probate if they are jointly held, have a beneficiary designation or if there is a transfer on death designation.
It would be helpful for you to discuss your case with a qualified probate attorney so you can be properly advised. I would be happy to assist you if you would like. If not, good luck!
