Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

My parents live in a town with an inaccurate plot map. IT specifies an alley where my father's garage stands. If they vacate this alley, 1 foot of my father's garage will lay on his neighbor's property.

My neighbor's house is about to be auctioned. Is it possible that my father will have to tear down his garage? There has been a structure there for at least 50 years, although he did replace the garage with a new one approximately 10 years ago.

You need to consult with a real estate attorney as soon as possible.

It may be that since your father has had a structure on this property for 50 years that he can claim that the property is his, but I would take action first before the new land owner requires him to take down the garage.
