who pays off credit cards?
Who pays off loans, credit cards and other debts in case of a death of a loved one? is it power of attorney or Executer of Estate?

The executor pays off the debts with probate assets pursuant to court order.

The Estate is responsible to handle all of the debts of the decedent. The Executor is the agent for the Estate when appointed by the probate court. The power of attorney ceases to be effective as of the date of death. Feel free to email or call me if you have further questions.
