What is the difference between a General POA and a General Durable POA?

A durable POA is one that can be used even after the person who signed the POA is no longer competent to act. If the POA does not provide for this, the POA is useless once the person granting it becomes incompetent. If a POA by its terms survives incompetence, it is durable whether or not the title includes the word "Durable".
