husband dies, wife is in nursing home
with altimers daughter has power of
attorney. All assets are to be
transferred to
State under law with State to
cover nursing home costs. Family is
unable to pay mortgage. Candaugher
arrange deal with bank to sell home
and other assets to pay off
mortgage,funeral expenses,power of
attorney fees?

Daughter can sell house and do what is necesary. If husband's name is on the deed, probate proceedings may be necessary to sell the house, depending on the way the property is titled.
