Protesting a rejection from an estate administrators deniel of a claim
My brother borrowed several hundred dollars of sporting equipment from me with the understanding it would be returned when he was done with it. There were several people present when he left my residence with it. All parties involved knew it was only loned to him. My brother was beaten up by his wife, died the next week (he had filed for divorce). I put in a claim with the estate through probate, his wife is administrator. I recieved a rejection letter that she will not return the itmes and denied my claim for my items back.
What redress do I have? Can I file, against her, in small claims court to get the items or value of items back?

You need to formally file a claim against the estate with the probate court. If an estate has not been filed then you can either force them to file one or file in small claims against the wife as executor for the estate
