Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

Do I have a right to read my grandfather's will.

I am interested in finding out if I have the right to review my grandfather's will. He passed in 2005 and I want to make sure that everything has been distributed correctly. I may or may not be mentioned in the will and that is pretty much irrelevant to me as I just want to verify that everything was or is being done properly. If I have that right, how do I get a copy? Do I contact the probate court or someone else? He was a resident of Ohio.

Thank you.

You can go to probate court in the county that your grandfather resided and get copies of anything that is filed in this estate, including the will.

It is very likely that there is a copy on file at the probate court, you can obtain a copy there.
