Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

removal of trustee

I have a question as to trustee removal. The trustee of the trust fund left to me by my grandmother has not acted in a very trusting way. When he provided funds for a downpayment for a house, which was for me and my wife, he insited that his name, as the trustee, be on the title, as well as mine. When we sold the house, he wanted me to sign a quitclaim deed, which i did not do.I did get have the proceeds. However, he has never once sent an accounting of how much fees he receives. He has also witheld the last 3 income payments. What actions can I take???

Re: removal of trustee

Do you have a copy of the trust document? Most trusts require the trustee to provide the beneficiaries with an annual accounting. If this trust does not so require, your only resort may be to petition the court for an accounting.
