Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

My stepdaughter has filed to be the executor of my wife's will although I am named in the will as executor I have filed the will with the court for record only trying to avoid the cost of probate. The contents of the will have already been distributed. She's trying to get my house. Must I file the will for probate to keep her from being named executor.
