Student Loans after death of the Student

If a student secures loans under only his name (no co-signer) and is killed in an auto accident, are the parents of that student responsible for the repayment of those loans?

Re: Student Loans after death of the Student

Probably not.

If the son took out the loans without the parents signature as guarantor then the parents should not be responsible.
