Can wife receive IRA from husband even if not name beneficiary?

I wanted to know if a wife is still entitle to her husband's IRA even if he named soemone else as the beneficiary? The wife never signed any papers letting him designate another person other than herself as the beneficiary? Thank you.

Depends on the terms of the IRA. It is generally up to the owner (husband) to designate a beneficiary. If he has not done so, then the proceeds go into his estate, and be distributed according to either will or statute.
