Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio
If my wife has rights of survivorship with her mother (co-ownership) on property, does this make her legally responsible for any dept that her mother has incured. Such as electric bills, gas bills, cash advance bills?

Your wife may be responsible for utitlity bills for the property and taxes for the property as a joint owner.
Since this property is not a probate asset your wife would not be responsible for any debts that are not secured by the property.
There may be other alternatives which would be better for your wife such as her mother owning the property trasnfer on death to your wife.
