Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio
is there a will?
My father just passed away. He told me throught the month and weeks before his passing that there were 'things' he wanted me to know as the oldest of six children. He wanted certain things given to certain people. There were other things he wanted me to ''divvy-up''. He didn't get the chance to give me the specifics of everything. He did tell me there was something in his dresser drawer that I needed to have. My stepmother says there is nothing in the dresser. She said that some of the specific items my dad gave me directions on were ''off limits'', they were hers. I don't know if my dad had a will. How can I find out if there is a will? How can I make his final wishes come true? Some of the items he mentioned to me are ''junk'' in his wife's eyes but they have meaning to his children. I don't know what to do............

Re: is there a will?
You should contact an attorney and perhaps ask the step Mom if she would have a family meeting. You could ask and ElderCare Mediator to be invovled as a neutral third party.
