Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio
I have a will, and some of the parts are no longer the way I want my estate to be disbursed.
Can I just re-type the will using the same legal terms, while changing the names of who gets what.
EX: OLD WILL: My auto goes to my son.
NEW WILL: My auto goes to my daughter
I would then sign it in front of two witnesses, and a notary public.
That would be legal and binding wouldn't it?
Thanks......................Bob Cushing

A change or codicil to a will in Ohio now only requires the document to be signed in the presence of three witnesses. You can indicate the document as a change or codicial, have it witnessed and attached it to the original. You might want to say in the codicil what you are changing it from. That makes things clearer.
