Absolutely, you can devise your property inany way you desire as long as it is legal. You are talking about a "per stirpes" devise.

If you are drafting your own will, you can name each of your children and specify if they predecease you to their probate estate. Just naming them with no other survivorship language in the Will does the same thing. If you want it to go to your grandchildren and not a child's wife you would say "or if my child predeceases me, to his/her lineal descendants, per stirpes." That takes it down the blood-line.
