can an employer terminate you if you were injured cause they think you did not following safety procedure and can you sue them over it

Based on the facts provided, generally an employer may not fire an employee for pursuing their rights under the workers' compensation system. This law has very strict guidelines which must be followed to maintain a claim. For example, within 90 days from the date of the contested employer act, the injured worker must provide written notice to the employer that a claim of wrongful termination will be pursued.
