Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Oklahoma
Avascular Necrosis
I have had Addison's Disease for 26 years and take replacement steroids. My main doctor has been an endocrinologist. Three years ago an my annual physical I told her that I was having a lot of pain in my right leg. She prescribed celebrex in case it was arthritis. The next year I told her the celebrex didn't work but the pain was increasing. She told me maybe I wasn't stretching enough before exercize. I just found out that I have Avascular Necrosis in the advanced stage and the only treatment at this point is total hip replacement. Had this been diagnosed three years ago in earlier stages there could have been treatments to retard the progression of the disease. Do I have grounds for legal action?

Re: Avascular Necrosis
You may have a legal case. You sould consult with a medical malpractice lawyer, who will in turn likely consult with an expert medical person to determine if your doctor(s) were careless. Because any claims you may have are subject to deadlines (called statutes of limitation), you should consult with a lawyer as soon as possible.
