Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Oklahoma

my friend was tried and found guilty of first degree murder in which mistaken identity lead to the death of one teen the wounding of three others and was sentenced to LIFE in prison, a case in which he was only the driver of the vehicle which was transporting the shooter and the person who supplied the shooter with the gun. The two real murderers testified that the driver, my friend, had not known what they were up to, therefore he technically is not a murderer nor an accomplice. My friend did not have a lawyer and neither did he testify for himself. Though he was at the scene of the crime, he was judged as a criminal and given way too harsh of a sentence. Is there any way possible that I could find a pro bono lawyer to appeal his case and get a dramatically reduced sentence if not a pardon?
