Bankruptcy - what can be taken

When you file bankruptcy, everything you own or haveany claim to at the time of filing becomes part of the bankruptcy estate and may be sold to satisfy the claims of your creditors unless it is exempt.

Exemptions are set by Oklahoma state law, primarily in 31 OSA. You need to consult an attorney in your locality for complete information.

Never file bankruptcy unless you are at risk of losing property or wages by attachment or garnishment.
