Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Oklahoma
Property liens
We've recently filed bankruptcy and were trying to hang on to the house. We've had some back tax issues and etc. We found out that three of the debts discharged in the bankruptcy have placed liens on our home. Can we get these off? The bankruptcy has been discharged approx 7 months ago. The past due taxes and insurance has been paid, but now how to we get the liens to be removed. If we can't can we just re-open and add the home to the BK?

Re: Property liens
If the liens were filed on the home prior to the initial filing of bankruptcy, you probably could reopen the bankruptcy and file a motion to avoid judical liens.
