Legal Question in Business Law in Oklahoma
Business Partner
I share ownership of a business. My partner is now having our secretary lock me out of files, files are missing, passwords and passcodes are being changed without my knowledge.
What are my rights and which steps do I need to take. My partner is also doctoring receipts and stating that I have been misusing our business for personal purchases. He is now trying to pressure me into buying him out or dissolving the company. Which I find odd and all of this is sudden.

Re: Business Partner
As a partner you have rights which the other partner may not infringe upon. Some of the answer to your question depends on the type of partnership/company you have, but generally you do have rights to access company materials. If you haven't already done so, I suggest you get copies of anything and everything to document the other partner's actions. You may also want to put your partner on notice in regards to these actions. Lastly, I don't know how much is at stake, but you may want to consider an attorney before the situation gets out of hand or assets are lost/destroyed.
