Legal Question in Business Law in Oklahoma
contract with a dissolved business
I bought a water softening and purification system from a company 10 months ago. It was in my contract that the company would move the system free of charge for one year. They went out of business and the new company won't honor the contract. What is it that I should do?

You may be out of luck if the old company really did go out of business. If the new company bought the old company, including all the old company's obligations, then you can try to force the new company to perform. A problem will be getting the actual terms of any purchase agreement between the old and new companies.
